Abdifatah Hussein
Youth Worker - Scarborough
Abdifatah Hussein (Snipa) is a community organizer, activist and spoken word artist from Scarborough with a deep passion for creating platforms and connections within his community. He finds joy in building bridges between those who often feel isolated, and listening to those who aren't heard is his primary tool in creating this reality. Empowerment drives Abdifatah's efforts, and is the bedrock of Hidaayah House, a collaborative movement, where he acts as its Co-Founder. Abdifatah has been making the most of this pandemic by helping out his community as best as he can virtually. Aside from being the Project Coordinator for the Black Youth Fellowship, and being a Provincial Youth Outreach Worker, he also works with a support phone line that allows the most vulnerable members of our community to have someone to talk to when they need it most.

Jamar Martin
Youth Worker - Old Toronto
Jamar has been working with the youth since he was fourteen years old. He currently works as a youth outreach worker for Dixon Hall but the work he does doesn’t end when he’s off the clock. Jamar provides grief support to youth who have lost loved ones due to gun violence and is always looking for ways to engage the youth, such as planning camping trips and excursions. A special highlight about Jamar is the holiday gift program he created. Every year he donates more than two months of his salary, to hand deliver gifts to children and youth who’s families aren’t able to afford it.

Eugenia Addy is the CEO of Visions of Science, a charitable organization with the mission of transforming communities, society, and the planet through equitable access to STEM.
